19-Year-Old Mother Stabs Her Husband To Death Over Case Of Infidelity

Operatives of the Homicide Unit, State Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Panti, Yaba, are presently investigating a nursing mother identified as Mary Adeniyi, aged 19, for allegedly stabbing her husband to death at their residence in Shagamu Road, Ikorodu Lagos.

iDONSABI gathers that the 19-year-old Mary Adeniyi stabbed her husband identified as Solomon Nduka, on the neck with a knife while they were fighting on Friday, February 15, at about 12:30 p.m.

Solomon Nduka, the husband to the teenage girl and also the victim, was then rushed to a nearby hospital. He was, however, confirmed dead by the doctor on duty afterwards.

According to reliable sources, it was gathered that the couple (Solomon Nduka and Mary Adeniyi), who has a four months old baby, had a small disagreement, which later degenerated into a fight after Solomon accused his wife of sleeping and going out with other men.

According to a neighbour close to the couple, while speaking on the condition of anonymity, the neighbour stated that this was not the first time they were quarrelling.

The neighbour also stressed that a high number of times when they quarrelled, it was usually based on an accusation of infidelity.

The neighbour said in a statement that:

“On this particular day, we thought it was their usual quarrelling. We didn’t know it would degenerate. Immediately she raised alarm, we rushed him to the hospital. Unfortunately, he was confirmed dead on arrival by the doctor on duty.”

While confirming the tragic incident, the spokesperson of Lagos State Police Command identified as CSP Chike Oti, stated that the suspect, Mary Adeniyi, was in custody, while the investigation was still ongoing to unravel the whole truth about the case.
