2019 Election: Sen. Dino Melaye wins Kogi West Senatorial Election and other reports
– Sen. Dino Melaye has been declared the winner of the Kogi West Senatorial Election
– He defeated Adeyemi Smart to win the seat
According to the latest report, Sen. Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP has been declared the winner of the Kogi West Senatorial Election.
Melaye defeated Sen. Smart Adeyemi of the All Progressive Congress to win the senatorial seat again.
According to the report, the announcement was made public by the Returning Officer, Prof. Emmanuel Bala in Kogi state capital, Lokoja in the early hours of Monday.
Prof. Emmanuel Bala in his statement disclosed that Sen. Dino Melaye had a total of 85, 395 votes to defeat Sen. Smart Adeyemi of the APC who scored 66, 901 votes.
In another report, Alhaji Abdulkarim Isah – Wambai of the All Progressive Congress APC has also been declared as the winner of the House of Representatives election for Lokoja-Koto federal constituency.
According to the statement released by the returning officer, Prof. Muhammed Suleiman, he said that Wambai had a number of 37, 656 votes to beat Mr Shaba Ibrahim of PDP who polled 33,662 votes.
We expect to get more electoral result as the Independent National Election Commission collate them.
According to a report, INEC collation centers have been opened in all state across the federation with counting for the Presidential election yet to begin.
However, going by the various result and reports from different media, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC, Pres. Muhammadu Buhari and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Alh. Atiku Abubakar are taking the lead ahead of every other presidential candidate.
INEC is yet to declared the winner of the 2019 Presidential polls.
