2019 Election: Sen. Shehu Sanni reacts to his loss says he was robbed

– Sen. Shehu Sanni said he was robbed in the 2019 Presidential and National Assembly election

– He disclosed that the election was marred by irregularities

Sen. Shehu Sanni, who is representing Kaduna central senatorial district has reacted to the outcome of the 2019 Presidential and National Assembly Election, which took place on the 23rd of Feb.

The Sen. in a statement on Channels TV Politics Today, disclosed he was robbed during the election.

This is coming one week after the conclusion of the 2019 Presidential election after he lost bid to retain the Kaduna central seat in the Senate.

Sen. Shenu Sanni came third behind the Senatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC, Uba Sanni, who was declared the winner and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Lawal Adamu, who came second.

I don’t think I lost that election because you oddly lose an election when it is free, fair, and credible,” Sen. Shehu Sanni, the candidate of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) said during his appearance on the TV programme on Monday.

He added, “When it is a robbery, it is either you are robbed, or you robbed, and in that case; I was robbed.”

Sen. Shehu Sanni disclosed that the election was marred by irregularities, he disclosed that there were cases where there were ballot papers for the Presidential and House of Representatives election, but no ballot papers for the Senate.

He went on to say that “there was virtually no credible National Assembly election in Kaduna,”

“They stuffed ballots, they thumb printed, there was over voting, and the card readers in many places never worked.”

He disclosed that there were evidence and videos his party would present to the Election Petition Tribunal to reclaim their mandate.
