41-Year-Old Farmer Murdered By Suspected Ritualists In Ogun State

A 41-year-old farmer identified to be Fidelis Ikpechi, has been killed by suspected ritualists on his farm, at Ogere -Remo area of Ogun State.

According to series of reports, the suspected ritualists attacked Fidelis Ikpechi on his farm, murdered him, then went ahead to behead him and also ran away some of his body parts on Thursday, January 17th.

The remaining parts of Fidelis Ikpechi, the 41-year-old farmer was later seen inside a sack the next day which was on Friday morning around Ositelu street, in Ogere-Remo area of Ogun state also.

Confirming the incident was the Secretary of Igede community where Fidelis Ikpechi’s remaining parts of his body were found identified to be Mr Michael Ekirigwe, stated in an alarm was raised by Fidelis Ikpechi’s neighbours after the 41-year-old farmer failed to return home on Thursday night

According to the secretary of the Igede community in Ogun state, Mr Micheal Ekirigwe, he stated that the people of Igede community in Ogun state are very sad about the news of Fidelis Ikpechi’s death.

He also added that the people of Igede community in Ogun state are particularly disappointed because Fidelis Ikpechi’s farm was not too far from where he lived.

Mr Micheal Ekirigwe, the secretary of the Igede community in Ogun state has also asked the question on the fate of other farmers who pile their trade in that farm also.

From his speech, it is clearly depicted that the farmers in Igede community would be afraid of going to the farm and feed themselves because of the ritualists and blood-sucking humans who are waiting on them in order to kill them to make money.

The remains of the body of Fidelis Ikpechi has been deposited in the morgue while the matter has been reported to the police for an immediate investigation to be carried out to discover his killers.
