Abducted Lagos Secondary School Pupils Regain Freedom

About six abducted pupils of Lagos State Model College, Igbonla , Epe on Friday regained their freedom. The pupils who had spent about 64 days in captivity following the attack on their school some times in May were released somewhere in Ondo State, close to the creeks. They were said to have been transferred to the Ondo State Police Command in Akure from where they are expected to meet with the governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.

More so, security forces disclosed that no form of ransom was paid in the process leading to the release of the secondary school pupils. This is just as there has been renewed agitations from parents and civil societies on the need for the government to expedite the release of the pupils.
