Abuja Residents Beware! Boko Haram Escapee Arrested in Abuja

A suspected member of the fleeing Boko Haram fighters defeated in Sambisa Forest, has been arrested in Abuja.

The suspect was arrested by officials of a newly established security agency in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Federal Capital Territory.

In a statement released last night by the spokesman of the AMAC Marshal, Kingsley Madaki, he said the suspect who gave his name as Usman, was arrested at exactly 4:30 pm at the Utako market shortly after he arrived the market.

Madaki further explained that the suspect was arrested with a Qur’an and a chaplet tied round his neck while also trying to solicit for the assistance of people in the market.

The statement said the suspected Boko Haram member “confessed that there are many of his colleagues in the city.”

The security agency, went on to appeal to Abuja residents, especially residents of the Abuja Municipal Area Council, to be vigilant and and Security conscious and also report all suspicious activity to relevant security authorities around the Nation capital.
