Adams Oshiomhole To Face Further DSS Questioning

Adams Oshiomole, the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, has been summoned by the Department of State Services (DSS) once he steps into the country. This recent development is largely due to the inconsistencies and allegations surrounding the APC primaries.

It was also gathered that President Muhammed Buhari was aware of the investigation of the National Chairman by the Security agency. The President was informed by the Director-General of the DSS, Mr. Yusuf Bichi, about the desire of the agency to interrogate Adams Oshiomole over the allegations leveled against home by aggrieved members of the ruling party.

According to unnamed sources in the Presidency, Buhari actually gave the “go ahead” to security agencies to carry out their investigation. Oshiomole has been having a running battle with some leaders and Governors in the ruling party over the conduct of the primaries. The aggrieved members believed that the former governor did not execute the just concluded APC primaries very well.

It was gathered that aggrieved members who were not able to secure party tickets for their chosen candidates, mounted pressure on the President to overrule the decision of the National Chairman. It was also reported that the DSS grilled Oshiomole for over 9 hours between Sunday and Monday before he traveled out of the country. Security forces also told news agency that Oshiomole would be expected to return to Interrogation once when returns from his trip. Further investigation revealed that the security aimed to keep the Interrogation a secret since it was a party matter.

In addition to this, the DSS plans to send the report of the investigation to the president alone.
The source said, “The comrade ( Oshiomhole) is expected to return for further interrogation when he returns to the country. That ’s why we released him on administrative bail.
“We are still looking at his statements and also carrying out further investigations. This type of operation is not meant for the members of the public.
“Rather, we will brief the President when the report is ready. Oshiomhole is the national chairman of the President ’s political party. He deserves to know our report first”
