Human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju has lambasted President Buhari for not taken responsibility for the security challenges being witnessed in some parts of the country.
The rection is over the president’s comment in Borno state after the Auno attack that left about 50 people dead.
The president during his visit to the state had blamed the local leaders for the level of insecurity in their locality.
“Boko Haram or whoever they are can not come up to Maiduguri or environs without the local leadership knowing because traditionally, the local leadership is in charge of security.
“We have young aggressive youths. We have to remind them that they must help us to stable this country so that we can have a better future,” Buhari said.
Reacting, Adeyanju wrote: “This is the man that some people in 2015 believed will transform Nigeria. In this video, he is blaming Borno people for insecurity. He can’t take responsibility for anything.”
