Human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju is wondering how a lawmaker with four wives and 27 children won’t embezzle public funds.
He is making a direct reference to the Majority Leader of the 9th House of Representative, Ado Doguwa. The lawmaker had boasted of his family size during a plenary session after winning his rescheduled election.
Adeyanju, who is a critic of the ruling government took to his Twitter page to wonder how Doguwa won’t end up embezzling public funds.
“How do you convince a public official with 4 wives and 27 children not to touch public funds?,” he tweeted.

It could be recalled that the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio had dropped a bombshell when he said most of the contractors of the Niger Delta Development Comission (NDDC) were the lawmakers.
President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered a forensic audit of the Commission’s account since its creation and many revelations have followed it. This made Buhari, during one of his interviews said that many public officers have abused the public trust.
This has also made the minister released the names of those that got the contract with one of the lawmakers getting five contracts worth billions of Naira.
Unfortunately, most of these projects are left uncompleted and reapproved for them to get another fund.
