After Failing to Rearrest Him in Court, Heavily Armed DSS Chase After Sowore And Bakare

Heavily armed operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) chased after the vehicle of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), conveying human right activists, Omoyele Sowore and Olawale Bakare after he drove them out of the premises of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

This is happening after attempts were made by the operatives who disrupted court proceedings during the commencement of trial in a case brought against the activists by the Nigerian Government on Friday morning at the Federal High Court.

They had attempted to rearrest Sowore and Bakare, who were released yesternight inside the courtroom, which led to rancour and commotion inside and around the court premises with the armed operatives preventing Sowore and the team from leaving the place.
