Agboola Ajayi: Ondo Assembly Suspends Deputy Speaker And One Other Lawmaker

The impeachment saga surrounding Ondo Deputy Governor, Ajayi Agboola made by some Ondo state lawmakers seemed not to have gone down well with some of their colleagues.

This is involving the Deputy Speaker, Hon Irioju Ogundeji and Hon Adewale Williams, who are against the move made by 14 lawmakers that have issued Ajayi notice of impeachment.

Ajayi had defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after resigning from the All Progressives Congress (APC). He is therefore not in good terms with the Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, after insisting that he won’t resign despite leaving the platform that gave him the post.

The house, therefore, decided to suspended them, citing unruly behaviour. Both lawmakers were among the nine lawmakers that kicked against impeachment move against Ajayi.
