Ahmed Musa named Nigerian best Player of the Year in Lagos
Nigerian Super Eagles player, Ahmed Musa has been named the best player of the year by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).
The award ceremony held on Monday (April 1 2019) at the Eko Hotels, Lagos.
The 26-year-old striker won the award beating the likes of Alex Iwobi and Odion Ighalo
Arsenal forward, Alex Iwobi on his own side played crucial role in Nigeria’s comeback to African Cup of Nations this summer after missing out on the last two editions.
Also, Shanghai Greenland Shenhua star Odion Ighalo scored 21 goals for his former club, Changchun Yatai before he left the club.
However, Ahmed Musa made one of the outstanding performances during the 2018 FIFA World Cup which held in Russia.

Although,the Super Eagles crashed out of the Wold Cup in the first round, Musa’s brace in the Super Eagles second game gave the fans something to talk about.
Ahmed Musa also won the goal of the year award for his second goal against Iceland at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
