Akeredolu’s Achievement Is Enough to Get Him Re-elected – Babajide Otitoju

Ace journalist, Babajide Otitoju has said that the works done so far by Ondo Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is enough to get him re-elected.

The governor has announced the intention to seek another four years in office in the October 2020 governorship election and he has purchased the All Progressives Congress nomination form. Otitoju stated this during an edition of TVC’s journalist hangout monitored by AllNigerianinfo.

“When it comes to achievements, when it comes to hardwork, when it comes to the invention when it comes to the work that you have done, all that is enough to get him (Akeredolu) reelected,” he stated.

Akeredolu had been locked in a battle with his deputy, Agboola Ajayi, who finally dumped the APC because he wants to contest for the number one spot against his principal. Knowing fully well that he might be able to dislodge him at the party’s primary, he resigned his membership of the ruling party. According to available sources, he had picked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) membership card ahead of the poll which he is expected to be contesting against his principal. He is expected to officially defect to the party today.

The feud reached a crescendo on Saturday when the state Commissioner of Police (CP), Bolaji Salami, prevented Ajayi, from leaving the government house with official vehicles.

But the Police had in a statement replied that the state commissioner, Bolaji Salami, went to the premises to resolve issues between the governor’s aides and that of his deputy.

Agbo can go anywhere he wants to go – Akeredolu

Akeredolu had earlier in the day reacted to the viral video denying not stopping the deputy from leaving the premises as claimed by some media outfits.

“Total Misrepresentation of facts. I did not tell the government house security to hold him back at any point. Why would I? Agbo can go anywhere he likes. I wish him well,” he tweeted.
