Alleged Assault: Oluwo Suspended for Six Months

The embattled Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi has been suspended for six months by the
Osun State Traditional Rulers’ Council over an alleged assault of the Agbowu of Ogbaagba, Dhikrulahi Akinropo.

According to reports, Akinropr was assaulted by Oluwo during a peace meeting last week in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State.

The council further went ahead to set up a committee headed by Orangun of Ila, Oba Wahab Adedotun, to further investigate issues involving Oluwo and Obas in Iwo land.

The decision was taken at an emergency meeting presided by Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, at Osun State Government Secretariat, Abere.
