AMVCA: “Best Dressed Awards Will Make Industry Players Avoid Award Shows” – Noble Igwe

Nigerian blogger, Noble Igwe has taken to Twitter to criticize the Best Dressed category of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award.

This award is given to a male and female who is considered the best dressed for the award show. The category is decided by viewers who would vote via the AMVCA official Instagram page.

Mercy and Mike of BBNaija season 3 won the award of the last concluded AMVCA and many have criticized the award.

According to Noble Igwe, the category may make social media personalities take over the award show instead of the real industry players.

He wrote;

“Unpopular Opinion: With the introduction of the best dressed in the awards, the real industry players are going to stay away from the awards and you’d have a room full of social media personalities. There are so many fashion events already, gather movie players.”
