Another presidential candidate steps down throws weight behind Atiku Abubakar

– NIP Presidential candidate, Eunice Atuejide has stepped down 

– She went on to throw her weight behind the Presidential candidate of the PDP, Alh. Atiku Abubakar

The latest report has revealed that the Presidential candidate of the National Interest Party NIP, Eunice Atuejide has withdrawn form the Presidential race barely three days to the 2019 Presidential Election.

Eunice Atuejide in her statement went on to give her support to the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Alh. Atiku Abubakar.

She acknowledged that the Presidential election is between the All Progressive Congressive APC and the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, she however added that she can’t defend the PDP for it 16 years of bad leadership but claimed the APC didn’t do a good job either

The NIP Presidential candidate disclosed that her interest in the race for the Presidency ended on 16th February 2019.

She added that, “therefore, the Presidential Election proposed to hold on 23rd February 2019 due to the last minute postponement on the part of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) does not involve me. In fact, the race is only between the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Therefore, every well-meaning Nigerian, particularly those whose party logos are on the ballot sheets should pick a side. Whatever we do on Saturday 23rd February, we will be voting either Atiku or Buhari, i.e. either PDP or APC for the 2019 Presidency.”

The NIP candidate said that “Plus whether we call them PDP, APC, PPA, ANN, YPP or NIP, we are all the same people moving from one political platform to the other in search of a place to speak out and be heard, or a place to come to power to serve our people, or a place to run free with our desire to steal our country dry.”

Oby Ezekwesili is the first female presidential candidate to step down.
