– INEC has declared the APC Governorship candidate, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq winner of the state Governorship election
A new report has made it known that the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has declared the Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as the winner of the state Governorship election which took place yesterday, 9th of March.
According to the results released by the electoral commission, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq had a total of 331,546 votes out of a total of 453, 433 votes.
The result also disclosed that candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Abdulrazaq Atunwa polled 114,754 votes.
According to INEC on Sunday via the returning officer for the state Prof Sanusi Liman, he said 9994 votes were rejected.
With this the APC candidate Abdulrahmah Abdulrazaq is now expected to succeed Abdulfattah Ahmed as the governor of the state come May 29, when he will be sworn in.
Kwara state also voted for the APC during the Presidential Election, which was won by Pres. Muhammadu Buhari on the 26th of Feb.
The slang of ‘Otoge’ has been a very popular one in the state has been trending since the commencement of the 2019 Presidential Campaign.
In another report, there are now indications that the All Progressive Congress APC is taking the lead in the Governorship Election in Ogun State.
Another report made it known that the APC Governorship candidate in Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu is taking the lead in the State election ahead of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Jimi Agbaje.
APC is also taking the lead in the Osun State Assembly election.
The 2019 Governorship and State Assembly Election in Rivers state has been suspended until further notice by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC over disruption of polls during the election.
