The All Progressive Congress APC in Oyo state has called on it members in the state to start working out plans on how to unseat the Governor-elect, Engr. Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in 2023.
This was made known during the expanded meeting of the All Progressive Congress APC leaders drawn from the 33 Local Government areas of the state, which was presided by the outgoing Governor, Abiola Ajimobi at the Government House in the state capital Ibadan.
In one of the highlights of the communique issued, the APC disclosed that it would challenge the outcome of the 2019 Governorship election in the state in places where there were glaring irregularities.
The APC during the meeting also passed a vote of confidence in the Gov. Abiola Ajimobi led administration as it declared that it was impressed by what the outgoing Governor achieved in his eight years tenure.

According to the communiqué released by the APC Oyo state Publicity Secretary, Dr. AbdulAzeez Olatunde, he urged the party members to remain happy and take solace in the what has already been recorded by the progressives, having had the chance to rule the state for eight years.
The Communique read, “Meeting urged members to walk tall and be cheerful because this is the first time the progressives would be opportune to have eight unbroken successive years of governance since the era of the Western Region.
“The party resolved to embrace genuine reconciliation and frown upon factionalisation (within the state APC). The party warn its members to avoid buck passing and blame game, but rather chart a roadmap to 2023 in earnest.”
