Arsenal Agree Personal Terms With Defender Ahead Of £25Million Move

North London club, Arsenal who have only £45 million to spend in the summer transfer window are currently in the market for French centre-back sensation William Saliba and have reportedly agreed personal terms with him and looking to negotiate a fee with his club, Saint Etienne.

The defender made 19 appearances across all competitions for the French side last term before being recently rewarded with a four year contract.

The North London club who are looking to bolster their defence after a terrible showing last term are reported to be keeping tabs on the 18 year old with a price tag of £25 million ‘hanging around his neck’.

L’Equipe claims that the defender has agreed a five year deal with Arsenal but won’t be playing at the Emirates till next summer.

Arsenal gaffer, Unai Emery is desperate to bolster his defensive ranks who boast old players who have simply not put up good numbers in front of the goal.

The Gunners might have some hard time convincing top players to make a move to the Emirates considering that they will be missing out on Champions League football next season not forgetting that they have only a limited sum of money to splash in the transfer window.

They did have a chance of securing a Champions League place despite finishing outside the top four on the Premier League standings but squandered that chance with a 3-1 loss to Chelsea in the Europa League finals.

Emery is desperate to oversee a huge overhaul of the squad but will be limited by the size of the transfer war chest.

The Spanish gaffer after a not-so-fanstastic season at Arsenal has made signing a defender his top priority and has a number of them in his list with William Salimba one of them.

The Gunners have been keeping tabs on the youngster and it now looks like they just might have landed their man.
