Arsenal Vs Brighton And Hove Albion EPL 05 May Preview

Arsenal take on Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium knowing fully well that any result other than a win might well put an end to their chances of making a top-four finish on the standings.

The Gunners were level on points with Chelsea on the 15th of April with a game in hand to play but must now wait for Chelsea to drop points to sneak themselves into fourth place.

This says a lot about their recent run of form with three straight defeats to Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City conceding three goals in each of those games.
Arsenal haven’t lost four matches on the bounce since March 1995, a record Unai Emery would like to keep that way.

They now have to prioritise the Europa league as their best chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions league with one foot in the final already.

This might force Emery to make some large scale chances ahead of the second leg tie next week but they will still be favourites for a win at the ground where they have gotten most of their wins this term.

Brighton and Hove Albion

The Seagulls are now assured of top-flight football next season with four points above 18th placed Cardiff City with a better goal difference than the Bluebirds.

They have collected just two points from the last seven on offer and have their last two matches against Arsenal and Manchester City.

They have lost 11 of their Premier league games against the ‘Big Six’ by a poor and devastating aggregate score of 23-2 and a loss to Arsenal and Manchester City could still see them slip to the drop zone on final day of the campaign.
