Atiku Abubakar To Return To Nigeria Today Ahead Of Presidential Debate

– PDP Presidential Aspirant Atiku Abubakar set to return to Nigeria Today after his two days trip to the US

– One of the main reason given for the return of the former Vice President is to enable him to participate in the Presidential debate which is expected to take place today

According to a statement made public by celebrity journalist, Dele Momodu, he made it known that the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Alh. Atiku Abubakar will return to the country Today after his two days trip to the United States.

Atiku Abubakar made a trip to the US for the first time in 12 years alongside Senate President, Bukola Saraki on Thursday in what can be termed a secret trip as it was unknown to the media till his arrival in the country.

According to the report, the Vice President was invited to the US based on a request from the Africa-US Chamber of Commerce for a program.

Atiku during his visit disclosed that the reason for his trip was to create an atmosphere for American investment in Nigeria.

His arrival in the United States was welcomed with mixed reactions from Nigerians.

Dele Momodu disclosed that Atiku Abubakar will return Today so as to participate in the Presidential Debate expected to take place later on Today as well.

The Presidential Debate is expected to involve all the presidential candidates from various political parties recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.

However, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alh. Lai Mohammed in a statement on Friday disclosed that Atiku will be investigated on his return to the country over his involvement in the collapse of Bank PHB.

Lai Mohammed disclosed that the Government has proof which involves cheques and bank statement that proved that some money were paid into an account supposedly belonging to Atiku.
