- Court will communicate the reason for ruling to all parties concerned.
Reactions have continued to flood the social media over the recent judgement delivered by the Supreme Court on the challenge of President Muhammadu Buhari’s reelection by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
The defendants proceeded to the apex court after losing at the appeal tribunal. In its ruling, a 7-man panel led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Tanko Muhammad, dismissed Atiku’s appeal for lacking in merit.
Justice Muhammad who stated that members of the panel had read all the documents and exhibits filed in the case for about a fortnight, within which the panel discovered that the appeal was lacking in merit.

The CJN also said the reason for the apex court’s decision would be made known on a later date which would be communicated to all concerned.
The apex court initially stood down Atiku’s appeal for 15 mins to enable parties to agree on whether or not to consolidate all the appeals. The sitting, therefore, resumed after all the counsels agreed to a consolidation of all the appeals because the main appeal was binding on all others.

I have mixed feelings abt the supreme court rejecting Atiku’s appeal.
One one hand, I’m glad cos Atiku is a significant part of the corrupt system that got us here.
On the otherhand, I’m sad cos it confirmed my fears that we’re now in a full blown dictatorship.

Well, we all know by now that Atiku is NOT cumming.
And no form of political gymnastics can derail Buhari. So let’s all get to work. Enough of the childishness online.
Oya, off ye all go!

The pride of democracy is to see a course being pursuit to a particular concluding point, justification. Democracy is all about contest. @atiku has fought a good fight.

Tanko Mohammed obviously single handedly did a hatchet job. This impunity and Kangaroo judgement falls squarely on the laps of Tanko Mohammed @OfficialPDPNig @atiku
