Barcelona Latest News – Messi must be kept happy – Caparros

 Sporting Director at Sevilla Joaquin Caparros, has said what Barcelona and its coach must do more than anything this season is to make sure Lionel Messi is always kept happy at Barcelona.

Speaking ahead of the match with Sevilla, Capparos tried to unsettle Barcelona by suggesting they must keep Lionel Messi happy.  This is in a bid to drive a wedge between Messi and the club management. He said to the Spanish radio, Radio Marca

“Lionel Messi is not to be p****d off”. “Messi is like a lion. A lion has to be caressed and you can put your hand in his mouth and he will not bite” “But if you touch his claws, a lion can tear your head off.”

Barcelona have suffered three draws and a defeat to Leganes – who were winless and bottom of the table at the time. This has put Valverde under some serious heat. The fans have become frustrated with the manager’s team selections, the latest being Lionel Messi on the bench against Athletic Club and ill-timed substitutions.

The last match, which was played against Athletic Club, saw Velverde start Lionel Messi on the bench, much to the chagrin of the fans. But he was later introduced into the action and he came good by assisting Bacelona’s goal which saw them draw the match.

Sevilla will seek to win against Barcelona, after defeating Real Madrid, who have also not been in a good form, 3-0 at home in September.

Barcelona will try to avoid any more slip-ups after some poor run of results and fan patience running out with the club and its players.
