Barcelona Offer Dembele To Liverpool On One Condition

Barcelona have offered French winger, Ousmane Dembele to Liverpool for a hefty amount in a bid to recover the initial amount they spent on him.

Dembele joined the Catalans from German giants, Borussia Dortmund in 2017 for a sum of £93 million in transfer and a possible £36 million in add-ons.

The Blaugranas are looking to take him off their books with the youngsters failing to fill perfectly into the shoes of Neymar who now plies his trade in Paris. Barcelona have offered Dembele to the Reds according to a report by Teamtalk, with the report suggesting that he won’t go lesser than the initial amount paid.

While it might suffice to say that Liverpool aren’t exactly in the market for a replacement of the attacking trio of Mane, Firmino and Salah, they would hope to get Dembele to encourage competition in the attacking three.

However, it might be difficult to convince Dembele of a move to Anfield if he isn’t guaranteed first team football with Salah, Mane and Firmino top of the pecking order.

Liverpool might as well pass up on the offer and Barca would look elsewhere but its Anfield, Dembele has his eyes set on.

After reaching two consecutive Champions League finals, lifting one in the process and failing to lift the Premier League title which is the ‘Liverpool dream’, Jurgen Klopp is looking to add some more attacking firepower to his team and has also shown interest in Lille’s Nicholas Pepe.

Whether Klopp will switch attention to Dembele rather than the Lille winger is yet to be seen but still remains a possibility.

The French man has recorded 14 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions for the Blaugranas, taking his tally to 18 in 65 appearances since his arrival at the Nou Camp.
