Biography of Bayray McNwizu
Eberechukwu Nwizu known professionally as Bhaira McWizu or Bayray McNwizu is a Nigerian actress, filmmaker, singer, and winner of the 2007 edition of the Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO) reality show. She’s one of the sought-after actresses gracing the silver screens today.
Early life and background of Bayray McNwizu
Bayray McNwizu was born on the 1st of July, 1984 in Lagos, Nigeria to Mr and Mrs Nwizu. The talented actress had her primary, secondary and tertiary education in Lagos State. The Anambra state descent who has always aspire to be a lawyer was offered admission to study Philosophy since the law department had no room for more candidates. As such, she obtained a degree in philosophy from the Lagos State University (LASU). Bayray also attended Wale Adenuga’s PEFTI film school in Ajao Estate, Isolo, Lagos, in order to hone her acting skills. Having the dream of owning her fashion line, she attended a fashion school and MUSON school of music.
Her Acting Career
Prior to acting, she was into real estate business. She also helped her mum manage the family hotel, Veragon hotel. As a child, Bayray had always wanted to act; she was a dancer and a member of her school’s drama club. In 2007, the dark-skinned actress contested in the third edition of the Amstel Malta Box office reality TV show and emerged winner of the show. This shot her into limelight, opening doors of opportunities for her in the movie industry. She made her acting debut in Izu Ojukwu’s Cindy’s note and since then she has featured in over 100 movies. The AMBO star went on a 2-year hiatus before returning back to the movie scene in 2019. She cited Taiwo Ajayi Lycett, Genevieve Nnaji, Edith Jane Azu, and Bimbo Manuel as her sources of inspiration. The versatile actress is adept at interpreting her roles and can play any character given by movie directors and producers.
The thespian is also the founder of the Girls Achieving Leading Together global foundation (GALT Global) which was established in 2014.
Bayray McNwizu’s Relationship and Family Life
Bayray is still single. However, she’s a single mother of one. According to her, the relationship between her and her baby daddy didn’t work out because there were issues bordering on culture. She hopes to be married someday though.
