Chikadibia Nancy Ike popularly known as Chika Ike is a Nigerian actress, television personality, producer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, former model and author. She is one of the most successful and flamboyant actresses who have made their mark in the Nigerian movie industry.
Early life and background of Chika Ike
Born on November 8, 1985 in Onitsha, Anambra state of Nigeria, Chika Ike began acting in church plays at the age of six. Chika grew up in a close family of eight in Lagos, Nigeria. While growing up, she was nicknamed “drama queen” due to her early display of acting skills. For her higher education, she attended University of Lagos for a 2-year diploma program in human kinetics and health education. She then proceeded to get a degree in human kinetics and health education at Unilag. In 2014, she graduated from the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, California where she studied film-making.
Her Acting Career
At age 16, Chika kick-started her career as a model right after secondary school. In 2005, she delved into acting and played a minor character in the movie Sweet Love. She played the lead actor in movie “Bless the child” and since then she has featured in movies such as Paradise, Mirror of Beauty, To Love a Stranger, Girls Got Reloaded, Happy Ending, Yes We Will, Anointed Queen and The Prince and the Princess. Mirror of Beauty was shown in Cineworld and Odeon cinemas across the U.K in 2007 and in 2008 It was selected and screened at the Cannes film festival. In less than two decades of her sojourn in the movie industry, the sophisticated actress has evolved into a fashion icon.
2011 saw the launching of her fashion line Fancy Nancy in Abuja, Nigeria. After graduating from New York Film Academy, the hottie floated her production company, Chika Ike Production, in 2014, and produced her first movie Miss Teacher. The Anambra state-born is the executive producer, host and a member of the judging panel of her reality TV game show African Diva Reality TV Show. In 2015, she collaborated with Rok Studios to produce movies like Happy Ending and Stuck on You. The phenomenal actress featured as the lead character in her new movie “Small Chops” (2020).
Small Chops has actually won fifteen international awards from different countries: India, Venezuela, Rome etc. ‘Small Chops’ explores the life of a dancer and all the hurdles she had to go through in life for survival. Aside being a role interpreter and producer, Chika Ike is also an author. She released her book “Boss Up” in 2018. The thespian narrated her life story amid challenges and discouragements in the 41-chapter book. Her securing admission into the Executive MBA Programme in Harvard University in 2017, after five years of trying speaks volumes of her restlessness and insatiable desire to acquire new knowledge. After graduating from Harvard Business School in 2018, she went ahead to launch her make-up line, Chika Cosmetics.

Her Humanitarian Works
Besides her flourishing career, the dazzling actress is involved in philanthropy. Chika Ike established her foundation Help the Child which aims at helping poor children by feeding them and giving out toys, school bags and writing materials. Each year, she organizes a major charity event for the children on the street, provides scholarships, and provides them with school writing materials.

Chika was married to Tony Eberiri for seven years before filing for a divorce in 2013. In one of her interviews, the actress cited inexperience, matrimonial infidelity and domestic violence among others as part of the reasons her marriage crashed in 2013. After her failed marriage, the beautiful entrepreneur hasn’t been exactly celibate.
There were speculations that she dated one certain House of Representatives member, from Anioma. It was rumoured that the relationship was so serious everyone thought that Chika would join the billionaire’s harem of wives. It was reported that the actress could not imagine herself being married to a man with many other wives. The two have since parted ways and the sexy diva has been living her best life. Despite her first failed marriage and previous relationships which didn’t end well, Chika Ike believes marriage is an amazing institution that everyone would love to experience.
