Biography of Regina Daniels

Regina Daniels is a Nigerian child actress, model and philanthropist. From being the little girl who played Onyinye in “Marriage of Sorrow” to becoming a great public figure who commands a lot of attention and followership amongst youths, Regina Daniels is a Nollywood big shot.

Early life and background of Regina Daniels

Regina Daniels was born on the 10th of October, 2000 in Asaba, Delta State in the south southern part of Nigeria. Her mother is Rita Daniels, she is the former chairman of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Delta State chapter. Her mum played pivotal roles in pushing her acting career. Regina has five siblings; three brothers and two sisters.
After completing her elementary education, Regina attended Hollywood International School for her secondary school education. In 2018, the child star proceeded to study Mass Communication at Igbinedion University.

Her Rise to Fame

The screen diva made her acting debut at the age of 7. She rose to prominence after featuring in Nollywood blockbuster “Miracle Child“. Her stellar performance in the movie landed her more roles in various movies. She has starred in over 100 movies including Dumebi in School, The King and The Python, Python Girl, The Jericho, Wipe your Sorrows, Twins Apart (as producer), Tears of Ojiugo, Traditional War (Part 1), Hanging Coffin, among others.

She has worked with popular Nollywood A-listers like Yul Edochie, Chinwe Owoh, Tonto Dikeh and many others. She was appointed Atiku Abubakar’s Youth Campaign Co-ordinator in January 2019. February 2020 saw her launching her magazine in Abuja.

Besides acting, the young, beautiful actress has shown that she has a heart of gold. She launched her charity organization called “Regina Daniels Foundation” which is aimed at helping disable and less privileged people.

The fair-skinned actress is always trailed by one controversy or the other. From her age to her marriage to Ned Nwoko, Regina is always in the news. She’s been called out severally on her real age. Her father, one Barrister Jude Ojeogwo claims Regina was born in one Inland Specialist Hospital in Alagbere, Lagos, on the 10th of October, 2001. No one knows for sure who’s right. The news about her marriage brought up intense debate and criticism, particularly because Ned is married to other women. This makes Regina the fifth wife. In an interview with Daddy Freeze, she stated her reasons for marrying someone much older than her. In her words:

“I don’t think I could have married someone of my age because I am quite stubborn, very stubborn, my head is not down but with my husband, that is not the case because I respect him a lot,”

She once dated acting colleague, Somadinma Adinma. The Nollywood actress is married to 60 year old billionaire and politician, Prince Ned Nwoko. The social media scape was agog with the news of the union. The couple welcomed their first child in June 2020.
