Ruth Kadiri is an award-winning Nollywood actress, screenwriter, movie producer and entrepreneur. She’s one of the most sought-after actress in the Nigerian movie industry.
Early life and background of Ruth Kadiri
Ruth Kadiri was born on the 24th of March, 1988 in Benin City, Edo state, Nigeria. She’s the first of two children. Growing up as a child, she lived with her mother and sister in Ajegunle, a low-income suburb of Lagos; while her father was based overseas. After completing her primary and secondary school education, she proceeded to obtain a degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos. She also holds a Diploma in Business Administration from Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Yaba, Lagos. Upon graduation, she went ahead to learn Scriptwriting from a renowned writing school.
Her Acting Career
Ruth’s passion for acting began in the church thus she sees acting as a service to God. She started writing stories while in secondary school. This was even before she started auditioning for movie roles. She first auditioned at the Wale Adenuga Studios where she met a friend, Victor Eze who owned a writing school. Having attended the school, she subsequently wrote her first script, “Wild and Dirty”. Since then, she has written and co-written several movies including Matters Arising, Heart of a Fighter, Ladies Men, Sincerity, First Class and Over the Edge.
The screen diva made her acting debut in “Boys Cot” which brought her to limelight. Since then, she’s acted in several movies including Diary of a Pregnant Woman, The Long Night, The Devil Within, Shrine Girl and others. As a producer, she has produced films such as Matters Arising, Over the Edge, Somebody Lied and Memory Lane.
She has worked alongside prominent entertainers which has helped paved a successful career for herself in the entertainment industry.

In July 2020, the Nollywood actress achieved a new milestone by bagging an endorsement deal with Betty Bingo, a top betting company in Nigeria.
Her Humanitarian Works
The gorgeous actress is the founder of ”Ruth Kadiri Kids” foundation which aims at empowering less privileged kids across the country.
