Borussia Dortmund Complete Signature Of Hazard

With Christian Pulisic making a move to Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund have found a like for like player in Thorgan Hazard.

The 26-yr-old Hazard will now replace Pulisic at Dortmund after signing a 5-year contract with the Bundesliga giants.

He’s become Dortmund second signing this summer after Schulz was brought in from Hoffenheim on Tuesday.

Hazard had had an agreement in place with Dortmund for some time now with only the technicalities of the deal required to get it over the line but the talented winger has now made a move from Borussia Monchengladbach with reports suggesting the deal to cost Dortmund a fee in the neigbourhood of €25 million (£22m/$28m) to €40m (£35.2m/$44.7m).

Thorgan Hazard makes his move to the Signal-Iduna park off the back of his best campaign in his four years at Monchengladbach and Bundesliga at large.

The winger was directly involved in 22 goals last term and played a vital part in securing an Europa league spot for his side having finished fifth on the Bundesliga standings.

Hazard who seemed delighted with the move said:

“I am grateful for five great years at Borussia Mönchengladbach and very nice memories.

“This was the perfect time to take the next step in my career. I am proud to play for Borussia Dortmund – a top club with incredible fans.”

The winger will likely play off the left-hand side with Jadon Sancho dictating things on the other side of the flank and the combination of Paco Alcacer, Marco Reus and Gotze through the middle.

Hazard is unlikely to be the only member of his family making a move this summer with his elder brother, Eden expected to make a big money move to the Santiago Bernabeu or elsewhere away from the Stamford Bridge.
