Bournemouth Vs Chelsea EPL 30 January Preview

Chelsea will travel to the Vitality Stadium as they battle an inconsistent Bournemouth. Chelsea who have just employed the services of former Napoli striker, Gonzalo Higuain in a bid to solve their goal scoring problems would be willing to hand the striker a debut goal and get the maximum points available.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth haven’t been particularly poor this season but have been hugely inconsistent. Their top performers in Wilson, Fraser and Brooks have been inconsistent lately. Although an exception could be made for the latter in terms of contribution, they have made out with only one victory in their last five games.

Nine wins, three draws and 11 defeats has seen them occupy level on point with 11th-placed Everton, 15 points off the relegation zone and three points off the top seven. A tight position indeed, one they would be willing to come out and force their way into the top 8. A win at home will be very vital for the team’s morale.

Chelsea

The London Blues have returned to winning ways with a win against Sheffield Wednesday having lost 2-0 to Arsenal on January 19.

They now face pressures from Arsenal and Manchester United and would need to keep winning to ease off pressure from table climbers.

The loan signing in Gonzalo Higuain could stir the London side to a huge win at the Vitality Stadium with their performance in front of goal their main problem this term. A switch from the false 9 role played by goal-shy Hazard to a strong and clinical target man could be the difference for them.
