Bournemouth Vs Tottenham EPL 04 May Preview

Tottenham have a chance to get their Premier League season back on track and put their Champions League disappointing loss to Ajax behind them when they lock horns with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

Bournemouth

The second half of the season hasn’t gone according to plans for Bournemouth with the Clarets winning only 2 of their last 12 games since their 4-0 humiliation of Chelsea.

They had moved into the top half of the PL standings after that outstanding win only to be pushed to 14th place after a series of poor showings and results.

Relegation is far from the question as they are closer to 10th place than 18th-placed Cardiff City. They have secured seven points from their last four away league games.

That said, they are now five games without a win with their last two losses coming against lowly Burnley and Fulham.

Tottenham

Spurs have endured a bad couple of weeks with a loss against West Ham meaning that a top-four finish isn’t secured for the North London club just yet.

They have lost their last three games on the bounce including a 1-0 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion even without bringing their loss to a young Ajax team in the Champions League into the equation.

Infact, they are now just one of two sides who have failed to earn a single point from away games since January with the other side being basement and already relegated club, Huddersfield Town.

Victory against Bournemouth would bring Tottenham’s point tally to 73 points for the campaign and ultimately cement their place in next season’s Champions League competition.
