If you can recall, the Academic Staff Union of Universities began the strike on November 4, 2018, after the Federal Government failed on their part to fund the universities under the body of ASUU.

This news now looks to be a good one for University students as they will be returning back to school after spending 3 months at home. As the week started, there were high hopes that thlong-awaiteded strike will not exceed this week as the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, had come out to state that the strike is nearing an end as the Federal Government is planning to present a mouthwatering offer which ASUU will not reject.

Well, that appears to be the case today January 7th as striking lecturers have finally come up with the decision to call off the long-awaited strike which has kept university students in their home.

According to sources, it was gathered that an agreement was reached between the Federal Government and members of ASUU which saw some documents exchanged in both directions earlier this night
