Breaking: INEC extends collection of PVC to monday

– INEC have extended the date of collection of PVC to Monday 11th of Feb

– The deadline initially set by the electoral body was on Friday the 8th of Feb

According to a new report, the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has extended the deadline for the collection of the Permanent Voters Card PVC.

The report disclosed that the deadline has been shifted from Friday 8th of Feb to Monday 11th of Feb, 2019.

According to statement released by INEC, the collection of the Permanent Voters Card will also take place on Saturday and Sunday.

The time frame per day has also been fixed from 9am to 6pm for the three days extension.

INEC however, has directed all State offices to review the procedure for the collection of PVCs and make available the staff of the Local Government offices across the country.

The statement released by INEC read,

Breaking News: The Collection of PVCs scheduled to end today Friday 8th February 2019 is hereby extended Nationwide to Monday 11th February 2019. This will include Saturday and Sunday Prof. Mahmood Yakubu

The collection of PVCs will now take place from 9am to 6pm daily. All State offices are hereby directed to review the procedure for the collection of PVCs and dedicate all the staff of the Local Government offices to the collection process.

With this new extension, Nigerians who are yet to pick up their Permanent Voters Card PVC have been given an opportunity to do so.

INEC has emphasized that no one would be allowed to vote without the PVC.

The Nigeria General Election has been fixed for Feb 16th for Presidential Election which is barely a week away and March 2nd for Governorship election.
