BREAKING – INEC May Postpone Saturday’s Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), according to reports, is considering postponing Saturday’s presidential and national assembly elections, iDONSABI has gathered in the past few minutes.

Different sources close to the electoral body have stated that the postponement being considered is due to some logistics challenges being faced by the commission in a lot of stated in the federation.

However, INEC is facing difficulty distributing sensitive electoral materials to some states of the federation, one official stated.

A formal announcement is expected to be announced early on Saturday, according to reports.

It is still not clear as at the time of filing this report on the new election date.

Other officials have stated that INEC is considering fixing the elections for Sunday.

iDONSABI also gathers that INEC commissioners are presently locked in a meeting at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja.

States like Niger and Ekiti are the states known to have been affected so far.
