1. Hoodlums Attack Jimi Agbaje’s Convoy in Lagos
The convoy of the PDP governorship candidate in Lagos State, Mr Jimi Agbaje was attacked by hoodlums at Iba in Ojo West of Lagos.
iDonsabi reliably gathered that the convoy was attacked as soon as it had left Oniba of Iba’s palace.
Agbaje had gone to the monarch of Iba, Oba Goriola Oseni to seek his approval and blessing for his campaign in the area but hoodlums numbering about 40 threw stones at the vehicles in his convoy.
It was also reported that the windscreen of a bus conveying party members was also shattered.
2. Wole Soyinka Says Both APC Buhari and PDP Atiku, Worthy of Rejection
Professor Wole Soyinka, the living Nigerian literary legend has divulged his mood for the 2019 presidency.
Soyinka said he will vote neither APC Muhammadu Buhari nor PDP Atiku Abubakar.
The Nobel Laureate stated this on Thursday in an event in Lagos organised by Citizen Forum in Freedom Park, Lagos Island.
Soyinka opined that it was time for the nation to explore something new and devoid of both APC and PDP watermarks.
He said for avoidance of ambiguity, he Wole Soyinka will vote neither APC nor PDP
In his words, “I find both of them worthy of absolute rejection.”
3. APC De-listed from Ballot in Rivers
Names of All Progressives Congress, APC were not included in the INEC’s list of political parties and candidates to take part in the 2019 Governorship and State House of Assembly elections of Rivers state.
A restraining order was issued by Justice James Omotosho to INEC to exclude APC, Rivers from participating in the elections.
Also, INEC did not publish the names of APC candidates for the National Assembly elections in Rivers state.
4. 2019 Presidency: Suspension Rocks Ohanaeze over Atiku’s Endorsement
A bout of suspension crisis has rocked the Ohanaeze Ndiigbo a week after the endorsement of the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
During the last National Executive Committee meeting of Ohanaeze which held in Enugu, the Secretary-General of the body, Uche Okwukwu was suspended.
The National Executive Committee of Ohanaeze had also previously suspended the President General, Nnia Nwodo for allegedly breaching sections of their constitution by drafting and signing a communique endorsing the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

5. 2019 Elections: APC Reacts to Delisting of Zamfara APC Candidates
At a news conference in Abuja on Thursday, Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu, the APC National Publicity Secretary vowed reacted to the exclusion of APC candidates in Zamfara State.
Issa-Onilu said the APC will do everything possible to ensure that their Zamfara candidates participate in the 2019 governorship and legislative elections in the state.
APC Zamfara was delisted by INEC for the inability to conduct their primary elections within the stipulated time frame.
6. 2 Killed in Asaba Rival Cult Clash over Girlfriends
Two suspected rival cultists have been killed on Wednesday in Asaba, Delta State in a recent cult rivalry between the Vickings and Eiye Confraternities.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, who confirmed the incident, said the cause of the clash was struggle over girlfriends.
7. Police Commission Promotes 18 CPs, 33 DCPs
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved promotions for 18 Commissioners of Police (CPs).
A statement by the Head of Press and Public Relations, Mr. Ikechukwu Ani in Abuja on Thursday confirmed that the police commissioners were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGs)
The newly promoted AIGs are: Wilson Inalegwu, former FCT CP; Ibrahim Larmode, former EFCC chairman; Musa Kimo, also former FCT, Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom CP among others.
Also, 33 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were promoted to the ranks of commissioners of police.
8. 2019 Presidency: Atiku Has Made Money – Titi Atiku
Titi, wife of the PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday said her husband unlike those sharing out Trader Moni was not interested in the business of embezzling the nation’s wealth.
In her words“Atiku does not want Nigerians’ money, he has made money.”
Abubakar spoke during a PDP rally in Abuja at the old parade ground area 10.
She further urged the women involved in the Trader Moni scheme to collect the money because it is their entitlement but vote their choice candidate.
9. INEC to Probe FG Trader Moni Scheme
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that it will probe the Trader Moni scheme that is being run by the President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government.
Chairman of the commission, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, disclosed this to reporters in Abuja on Thursday.
Yakubu said the electoral body was aware of the vote-buying allegations that have trailed the scheme.
Adding that, “they would investigate the scheme for possible violation of campaign finance laws.”
10. Elections Will Hold Only in 3 Polling Units in Madagali, Adamawa State
Due to the violent attacks by Boko Haram and recent security concerns in Adamawa State, voting will be held only in three polling units in the Madagali LGA of the state.
The state INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Kassim Gaidam confirmed this at an event organised by the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES) to sensitize internally displaced persons (IDPs) to surely exercise their franchise in the forthcoming elections.
