1. Tradermoni is Buhari, APC Relooting Abacha Loots — Fayose

The former Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has described the Federal Government TraderMoni scheme as not only an avenue for covert votes buying but also direct “re-looting of the Abacha loots.”

Fayose questioned the rationale in VP Osinbajo flying out with the presidential jet along with aides, protocols, security and others at a cost of about N25 million just to go and share say N10 million of Tradermoni.

He said if the FG was sincere about TraderMoni, the fund should be paid into bank accounts of beneficiaries so that the disbursement can be traceable and properly audited.

2. We Are Confident Buhari Will Be Re-elected – APC

The ruling APC on Monday said it was going into the new year,they are confident that President Buhari would be re-elected by appreciative Nigerians come February polls.

But Kola Ologbondiyan, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP said that based on current developments in the country and the mood of Nigerians there was no way APC could win in 2019 except by rigging.

On the other hand, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, APC’s National Publicity Secretary, said Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the PDP, could not win the election because Nigerians would not want to go back to the past.

3. Labour Mobilizes For Long Strike over N30,000 New Minimum Wage

The Organized Labour, in the New Year message by the President of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Ayuba Wabba has called for prolonged strike the FG’s non-adherence to their ultimatum.

The Organized Labour has told workers to fully mobilize for a prolonged nationwide strike soon over the inability of the FG to commence the process of implementing the new minimum wage of N30, 000.

4. Lawyers, Senators Kick, as Police’ Siege on Dino’s Place Continue

The siege by the police on the Abuja residence of Senator Dino Melaye, representing Kogi West in the National Assembly, entered its fourth day, yesterday, with the police showing no sign of leaving.
Some lawyers and senators in the country have openly kicked against the continued siege.

Mr Norrison Quakers, SAN, said: “It is indeed unconstitutional and beyond international standard of law enforcement and in violation of the administration of criminal justice act, 2015 and that the Senator should seek redress in court.

Another lawyer, Mr Israel Mbaebie said, “What is happening to Dino is a clear extension of what has been the sad hallmark of the excesses of this present government”.

5. Aisha Campaigns for Buhari’s Re-election

Wife of President Buhari, Aisha has constituted a separate campaign team for the re-election of her husband.

Aisha is chairing the team herself while the Vice President’s wife Dolapo Osinbajo would co-chair.

Mrs. Adejoke O. Adefulure, former deputy governor of Lagos, and wife of Nasarawa Governor, Mrs. Mairo Al-Makura to serve as Vice chairpersons for South and North respectively among others including Nollywood and Kannywood stars, sports stars and social media influencers.

6. Buhari will Lead Nigeria Beyond 2019 – ‘God’

One Prophet Christopher Owolabi has on Tuesday predicted that President Buhari will lead the Nation beyond 2019.

Owolabi, General Overseer, Christ Apostolic Church, Ori-Oke, Irapada, Omu-Aran, made the prediction during the Church’s crossover night.

According to him, God told him Buhari is to lead beyond 2019.

7. Frustration Led Me to Criticize GEJ – Shettima

The Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima has revealed that frustration as a result of being kept at arm’s length by the presidency under the Goodluck Jonathan administration and the suspicion of his administration in Borno state with regards to the crisis of Boko Haram, informed his criticism of the past administration.

According to the governor, he feels at home with the Buhari administration because he has access to the presidency unlike the previous administration, and is able to take the problems of the state to the President.

8. What Will Happen in 2019 Election – OFM Suleiman

Apostle Johnson Suleiman, the President of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide has released his 2019 Prophecies concerning Nigeria.

In the prophecies he released during his cross over service on Monday night, he said the 2019 election will be 100 percent rigged.

Among others in his list of 50 prophecies are:

A new activist to launch campaign against Presidency, Muhammadu needs prayers and should go and rest. Atiku should focus campaign on North-east. A presidential aspirant to be arrested and a major politician declared missing. He also said US Donald Trump will lose 2nd term and Brexit will implode UK.

9. Buhari’s Plans to Rig Nigerian Elections – Ghanaian Prophet

Prophet Badu Kobi has predicted that Nigeria may not go to the polls in 2019 as planned because disaster awaits the Nation after the presidential elections.

He made the prediction in his prophecies for 2019 during the 31st December Crossover Service in his church, Glorious Wave Chapel International in Sakumono, Ghana.

He claimed that the APC, President Buharis has plans to rig the elections.

He also foresaw an attack on the Electoral Commissioner of Nigeria.

10. Nigeria’s Foreign Debt Declines By 2%

Nigeria’s external debt has declined marginally by 2.02 percent to $21.6 billion in the third quarter of 2018, Q3’18, from $22.1 billion recorded in the second quarter 2018, Q2’18, almost cancelling out the 1.2 percent rise in domestic debt recorded during the quarter, Q3’18.

Consequently, the nation’s total debt stock which stood at $73.2 billion, or N22.4 trillion, recorded almost no change as at end September.

The Debt Management Office (DMO) disclosed this recently in a statement released on its website.

The decrease in the external component was ascribed to the redemption of a $500 million Eurobond which matured on July 12, 2018.
