3. FG To NLC: Drop Ultimatum On Minimum Wage
The Federal Government pleaded yesterday with the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to drop its threat of industrial action at the end of the month over the proposed N30,000 national minimum wage.
The Information Minister described the NLC as “a very patriotic union”, and pleaded that NLC should not do anything to embarrass the government.
4. 2019: We’ll End Okorocha’s Familiocracy in Imo – Oshiomhole
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole says that he will end Governor Rochas Okorocha’s familiocracy in Imo State. He plans to do this by making sure Sen.Hope Uzodinma is elected the next governor of Imo state.
5. EFCC intercepts $2.8 Million at Enugu Airport
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Enugu Zonal Office, yesterday, intercepted $2.8million from two people identified as Ighoh Augustine and Ezekwe Emmanuel suspected to be money launderers at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed that they have been in the business of flying cash for “some notable banks”, for over six years and were in the process of doing same for Union Bank Plc, New Market, Onitsha, Anambra State, when they were caught.

8. Minimum Wage Delay: Labour Orders Nationwide Protest January 8
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has announced that it would embark on a nationwide mobilisation of Nigerian workers to protest federal government’s delay in transmitting, enacting and implementing the N30,000 naira minimum.
In a swift reaction, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed said that he was confident that labour would not embarrass the government.

12. Police Arrest Masterminds of 2015 Nyanya, Kuje Bombings
The Nigeria Police Force has apprehended one Umar Abdulmalik and his cohorts. Umar Abdulmalik is said to be one of the most wanted Boko Haram terrorists, and leader of the Boko Haram cell in Kogi State.
Abdulmalik, 39, a native of Idoji Village Okene, Kogi State, is said to be an explosive expert for the insurgence group and the mastermind of the Nyanya and Kuje bombings in Abuja in 2015.
the suspect was arrested Thursday, 20th December, 2018 by the IGP Intelligence Response Team (IRT) led by DCP Abba Kyari in a location at Ibafo, Lagos, while receiving treatment from the bullet wound he sustained during a shootout with the police.

The Chairman of the APC in Ogun State, Chief Derin Adebiyi, has described the party’s National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole as an undertaker on mole assignment for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to destroy the APC.
14. 9 Year Old Girl Drags Ogun State Govt. to Court Over Hijab, Demands N1m
A nine-year old pupil of Gateway Junior Secondary School, Aisha AbdulAleem has dragged the Ogun State government and the Principal of her school, Mrs. Kushimo before Ogun State High Court sitting in Isabo, Abeokuta, for allegedly violating her fundamental human right to use Hijab in the school.
She made it clear through her lawyer, Olusoji Odutan that not allowing her client to wear her Hijab, violates her rights to “freedom of thought, conscience and religion, freedom from discrimination and right to the dignity of the human persons and right to education”.
