1. Atiku Appeals to Buhari’s Wife to Reveal the Identities of ‘Two Powerful People’ Controlling Buhari

The PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has appealed to the wife of President Buhari, Aisha to name the powerful persons who have hijacked her husband’s administration.

Atiku said Aisha should identify the powerful people so Nigerians can either beg them or fight to free the President and the country from their stronghold.

Atiku made this appeal his campaign’s spokesperson, Segun Showunmi, while addressing journalists in Abeokuta, Ogun State yesterday.

2. Stop Fabricating Lies against Atiku, He is a Saint- PDP Warns Presidency

The PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, PPCO, has warned the Presidency on Thursday to stop peddling lies against its Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, noting that Atiku have been absolved of all allegations by the Chairman Buhari’s Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay and the United States Department of Justice after a thorough investigation was conducted on him.

According to him, President Buhari has resorted to sponsoring fabrications and false allegations against Atiku Abubakar because he is overwhelmed by Atiku’s soaring popularity and acceptance by Nigerians as their choice Presidential candidate.

3. Buhari’s Teacher Dies

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday offered condolences over the death of Alhaji Sanda Kaita, Magajin Rogo of Katsina, his former teacher.

President Buhari in his condolence message to the Emir of Katsina, described his late metal work teacher in Katsina Secondary School as a man of highest character who will be remembered for his efforts to inculcate hard work and technical skills in his students.

4. NSE Indices Down By 0.86% After Christmas Break

Activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) resumed on Thursday on a downward trend after a two-day holiday to observe Christmas and Boxing Day celebrations.

The crucial market indices declined by 0.86 per cent.

5. My Wife Says One Day She’ll Hand Our Three Kids to Their Real Father —Husband

President of a Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan, Mr. Ademola Odunade, on Thursday dissolved the eight-year marriage between Adedolapo Aderibigbe, an estate surveyor; and wife, Mayowa, over adultery and threat to life.

The husband, who did not refute the allegation of battery against him, said that Mayowa had often told him that she would, one day, hand over the three children to their real father.

He also revealed that he had once caught his wife with another man on top of her and he had forgiven her after she asked for forgiveness promising not to return to prostitution again.

6. Governor of Zamfara State Supports Declaration of State of Emergency in the State

Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State has declared his support for the call by President Buhari to declare a state of emergency in Zamfara state.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Yari while addressing newsmen in Gusau, said, “I am also in support of the declaration of state of emergency if it will save the lives of people of the state.”

He warned politicians against politicising the disturbing security situation in the state.

In a series of tweets on Thursday, December 27th, Toke Makinwa has revealed that she had always hated her body and that one of the best decisions she took this year, was to fix her body.

Toke who had also separated from her ex-hubby, Maje Ayida, also said she gave love a chance this year.

8. Nigeria to Become 14th Best Global Economy by 2050- Tetfund Boss

The Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Dr. Abdullahi Baffa-Bichi, has predicted that Nigeria would become the 14th best economy in the world by 2050.

Baffa-Bichi said this during an interactive session with members of the Buhari Support Political Group, “One 2 Tell 10’’, in Kano yesterday.

According to him, indices of growth and development are manifesting following the sound and excellent economic policy introduced by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

9. The CBN Injects $210m into Foreign Exchange Market

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) says it has injected 210 million dollars into the various segments of the market to sustain its intervention in the Inter-Bank Foreign Exchange Market.

Mr Isaac Okorafor, CBN Director, Corporate Communications, made this known on Thursday in Abuja.

According to him, it is also to continue to ease access to the currency by customers in different sectors.

10. Akpabio Gets New Appointment from Buhari

President Buhari has appointed Senator Godswill Akpabio as the National Coordinator of the Presidential Support Committee.

According to the Akwa Ibom State Coordinator of the committee, Pastor Mfon Okon, who disclosed this on Thursday, in Uyo, said four indigenes of the state were also appointed into the committee.

They include Lady Valerie Ebe, a former deputy governor of the state as chairman, National Advisory Committee, Senator John Akpanudoedehe, National Director – Planning & Strategy, Senator Aloysius Etok – National Director for inter-party affairs, and the party’s South-South zonal woman leader, Mrs Rachael Akpabio as the National Assistant Welfare Secretary.

11. Only Two People Are Not Corrupt In Nigeria – Balarabe Musa

An elder statesman and Chairman of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) Board of Trustees, Balarabe Musa has said there were only two types of people that are not corrupt in Nigeria.

The elder statesman explained that those were people who don’t have opportunity to be corrupt and those who prefer to die than to be corrupt, who he said were very small in number in the country.

Balarabe Musa made the comment i‎n Kaduna while reacting to the comment made by President Muhammadu Buhari about the corrupt system in the country.
