Constitution Amendment: Senate Plans to Override Buhari’s Veto
The Senate has resolved to override President Muhammadu Buhari’s veto on two bills that were passed and forwarded to him for assent.
According to reports, the upper chamber will override the President’s veto on the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999(Fourth Alteration, No.28)Bill, 2018 and the Industrial Development( Income Tax Relief) Amendment Bill, 2018.

Abducted Lagos Fire Service Boss Secures Freedom
They were released in the wee hours of the night after were abducted by unidentified gunmen along Itoikin-Epe road in Ikosi-Ejirin Local Council Development Area, LCDA on Saturday.

Seven Persons Killed In Ondo Bank Robbery Attack
Seven people were killed in an eleven-man gang armed robbery attacked a branch of First Bank in Idoani, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State on Monday.
It was gathered that the robbers who attacked the Bank shot and killed seven people in the process, including bank officials, a Police Inspector around the area and also two customers using the Automated Teller Machine (ATM).

Military Defeats Boko Haram Sect in Damaturu
The Nigerian Military has repelled Boko Haram attack in Damaturu, Yobe state capital on Tuesday.
Members of the Boko Haram sect, who launched attack around 5:30pm in Maisandari and Madari wards in Yobe State were repelled by the Nigerian Air Force fighter jet that supported the ground troops hours later.

INEC To Resume Distribution of 11 Million PVCs
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will resume the distribution of 11,228,582 uncollected permanent voter cards this month of April.
This was revealed by INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education, Festus Okoye, while speaking with journalists.
According to him, all the uncollected PVCs were still locked up at the Central Bank of Nigeria as promised by the Commission until after the elections.

Osinbajo Calls on CBN, NDIC to Take Over N-Power, Tradermoni, Others
The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has told on Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) to take over funding and management of Federal Government’s Social Investment Schemes (SIPs) which includes NPower, Trader Moni, Market Moni and the likes.
Osinabjo, while hosting NDIC members in his office in Abuja noted that contending that present structure of microfinance institutions have failed stated this while receiving board and management members of NDIC in his office.
He also stated that it was desirous for millions of poor Nigerians to be empowered through the extension of
