 Buhari Reiterates Promise on Chibok Girls, Leah Sharibu

President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his promise to the parents of the schoolgirls of Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State that he has still not forgotten their daughters who were kidnapped from their dormitory five years ago (April 14, 2014).

The president also stated that diverse efforts are being intensified to secure the release of the Chibok Girls, along with all hostages in Boko Haram captivity, including Leah Sharibu who was kidnapped from her school, Science Secondary School, Dapchi, Yobe State, on February 19, 2018.

Infiltration of Illegal Arms: Buhari Calls for Cooperation of CEN-SAD to Tackle Menace 

President Muhammadu Buhari has called for wider cooperation among countries of Sahel and Saharan regions to counter the infiltration of small arms to Nigeria, flowing into the hands of militia forces, bandits and insurgents who are becoming a threat to human rights and internal security.

President Buhari, who made the call as part of participates in the one-day Extraordinary Session of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States, CEN-SAD in  in N’Djamena, the Chadian capital said the current trend is very disturbing

NLC Warns FG Against Removal of Fuel Subsidy

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has told the Federal Government to turn a deafening ear to the advice of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) which recommended the removal of fuel subsidy.

NLC in a statement said that the removal of fuel subsidy will only result in a drastic increase in the price of fuel, as well as the cost of other goods and services.

Atiku Reacts to APC’S Claim His Citizenship

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the recently concluded poll, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to a claim by the All Progressive Peoples Congress (APC) that he is not a Nigerian.

Atiku, who described the claim as simply idiotic and it is ridiculous, adding that it is disrespectful to Nigerians and for the office he has held, which other people will hold and will continue to hold.

Nigeria is Investing N15bn in Geoscience Data Bank -Ministry of Mining

The Ministry of Mines and Steel Development says Nigeria is set to invest N15 billion to upgrade geo-science data bank that will place the country in the world mining map.

Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Honourable Abubakar Bawa Bwari solicited for the cooperation of the community in the exploration project, which he said, will positively transform the Emirate and fast-track the economic diversification of the present administration.

Nigerian Musician, Ikechukwu has issued warnings To Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) Officers, praying that rays he never encounters anyone of them because he will disarm him and shoot him.

Ikechukwu who took to his Instagram page to rant about the men in uniform who bully citizens instead of protecting them wondered why SARS is “raping’ right of individuals in broad daylight so bold and so arrogant with slaps to follow and insults.”
