Buhari Says Ethnic Clashes in Taraba, Adamawa Needless

President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the ethnic clashes in some states in the country which have left scores of people dead.

The president, who expressed his disappointment towards the ethnic clashes, stating that that it was needless and saddening said resorting to violence is not the solution when a misunderstanding arises among people.

Nigerian Arrested in Hong Kong for Drug Trafficking

The Hong Kong customs have arrested a 37-year-old Nigerian lady for trafficking hard drugs into the country via a flight from Lagos, Nigeria.

The lady, who hid the cocaine in condoms and plastic bags found in her vagina by the customs was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Yau Ma Tei for a check-up and confirmed to have foreign objects in her body.

Acting CJN Gets Three Months Extension

Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad has gotten a three months extension in his role.

The spokesperson of the NJC, Soji Oye, who made this known said that the supervisory body of the National Judicial Council NJC gave their approval to the extension on Thursday and Council has since forwarded its approval to the President for approval.

All Political Office Holders Must Declare Their Assets  – CCB

The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) in Kano state has stated that all outgoing and incoming political office holders in the state must declare their assets.

The CCB which said the political holders must declare their asset before the expiration of their tenure in office urged political office holders in their own interest to go to the Bureau’s office to pick up their assets declaration form and fill it as expected in line with the 1999 constitution as amended.

Okunnu Scores FG Low, Says Nigeria More Divided Ever Than Before

Dr. Olufemi Okunnu (SAN), President of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, has scored the Federal Government low in confidence-building and mutual trust among the federating states in the country.

Okunnu, therefore, advised the Federal Government to show concern in dousing ethno-religious crisis in the country, towards inspiring peaceful coexistence between Christians and Moslems, the two dominant faith in the country.

N30,000 New Minimum Wage: Buhari Has Match Word With Action – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that the signing into law of N30,000 minimum wage for Nigerian workers by President Muhammadu Buhari is another election promise delivered.

The ruling party said that Nigerian workers truly deserve a new, improved and implementable minimum wage in view of current economic realities,.
