#EndSARS: My Administration Won’t Tolerate Brutalization of Nigerians – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari reiterates his administration’s promise, saying it won’t tolerate brutalization of Nigerians or the violation of their rights.

He added that any law enforcement officer or government functionary caught in this act will be visited will face the full wrath of the law.

This is in reaction to the killing of Kolade Johnson who was killed as a result of a stray bullet from the men of Special anti-Roberry Squad (SARS) in Iyan Ipaja on Sunday which led to the reawakening of the hashtag #EndSARS which has sparked outrage in the country and beyond on the social media.

Buhari Directs Finance Ministry to Sell All Recovered Assets

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the ministry of finance to sell all recovered and liability-free assets in six months.

This according to him is to help the federal government improve its revenue generation in 2019.

The Ministry of Finance is working with all the relevant authorities to take action to liquidate all recovered, unencumbered assets within six months.n allocating funds in the 2019 budget proposals, priority was given to critical infrastructure projects.

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu has revealed one experience he will never forget in his life.

Speaking during this year’s edition of the colloquium held every year in celebration of his birthday, Tinubu narrated the story of how a Naval officer who had just returned to Nigeria gave him a resounding slap for overcharging him.

Tinubu, who revealed that he was a taxi driver at the time of the incident added that he will never forget that incident in his life.

AAC Condemns SARS over Johnson’s Death, Demands Immediate Overhaul

The African Action Congress (AAC) has condemned the killing of Kolade Johnson on Sunday by the men of Special Anti-RobberySquadd, SARS

AAC in a statement on Wednesday by Towolawi Jamiu, Deputy Chairman of AAC Lagos Chapter, called for a total overhaul of all such units in the Force, including the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

ASUU Resumes Indefinite Strike In Taraba State University

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Taraba State University chapter, has begun an indefinite strike.

A statement which was released from the ASUU chairman in the Taraba State University, Samuel Shikaa, stated that the aggrieved lecturers had embarked on a strike action in 2018 but suspended it when the Taraba government promised to meet its demands which included the payment of earned academic allowances from 2014 till date (2019), and the provision of required infrastructure to make teaching and learning easier in the University.

UAE Cancels Three Months Tourist Visa for Nigerian Passport Holders

Nigerian passport holders are no longer eligible for the three months United Arab Emirate tourist visa.

This is following the recent arrest of five suspected Nigerians involved in a robbery attack on a Bureau De Change in Dubai.
