Justice Onnoghen’s Lawyer Confirms His Resignation

Adegboyega Awomolo, the lawyer to the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Walter Onnoghen has confirmed the resignation of the embattled CJN.

Confirming the development to the AFP on Friday, Awomolo said: “Yes, he resigned yesterday,”, without giving further details.

Onnoghen: Buhari Not Selective – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari is not selective in his fight against corruption adding that the wheel of justice which might be grinding slowly would surely catch up with those who err.

APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, who noted that there is nowhere in the world where judgment is passed on every sinner at once, said Nigeria must continue to see evidence that the Federal Government is moving towards that sanity.

Buhari Lauds ‘Resolute’ Oshiomole at 67

President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole on his 67th birthday.

Buhari, who described the former Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) as a resolute leader said he has provided purposeful, courageous and tenacious leadership over the years.

He Oshiomhole has brought a new dynamism into the collective effort to make democracy and development more inclusive in the country.

Presidency Reacts to Onnoghen’s ‘Resignation’

Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, says he is yet to confirm if his principal is aware of the reported resignation of suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen.

Adesina, who noted that he like many other Nigerians read of the development online said there has not been any confirmation from the National Judicial Council (NJC) or other relevant bodies on the development.

The presidential spokesman said he met with his principal earlier today but Onnoghen’s resignation did not come up as a topic for discussion.

Angry Mob Burn Two Suspected Armed Robbers To Death In Benue

Angry mob at Akerior in Ushongo local government area of Benue state on Wednesday, April 3rd burnt two suspected armed robbers to death.

iDONSABI reports that the robbers were apprehended while attempting to rob an Igbo trader popularly known as CK. The suspects who were three in number, rode on a motorcycle while operating their robbery activities.

While two met their waterloo, one of the robbers managed to escape.

Father Mbaka Offsets Hospital Bill of Woman Who Delivered Quadruplets

Popular cleric, Rev Ejike Mbaka on Friday visited the mother of a set of quadruplets and paid off their hospital bill to the tune of N1.5M.

Father Mbaka gifted the new mother and her babies the sum of N3.5 million and left them with prayers of blessings.

From the N3.5m, Father Mbaka offset the hospital bill while he donated N2M to support their father’s business.
