President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that his administration remained committed to providing an enabling environment, higher productivity, industrial peace and harmony as well as a congenial atmosphere for effective collective bargaining amongst trade unions and employers.

Expressing his delight at the occasion president Buhari who noted that it coincided with the Centenary Celebration of the International Labour Organization (ILO) said the two events have far-reaching significance for Workers in particular and the World of Work in general.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for facilitating the release of two Nigerians arrested in Saudi Arabia.

Giving her commendation in an interview with newsmen in Abuja, Dabiri-Erewa said Buhari’s timely intervention saved the two Nigerians from being punished for the offence they did not commit.

Gunmen Kidnap Daura District Head

The district head of Daura in Katsina state, Alhaji Musa Umar, has been kidnapped by four unknown gunmen.

The kidnappers stormed Umar’s Daura residence at 7 pm on Wednesday and sporadically shot into the air, scaring the hell out of bystanders, who scampered for safety.

The Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Yusuf Bichi has stated that the political class of Nigeria have more faith in herbalists than in security agencies.

PDP salutes Nigerian Workers for their service to the country

The Peoples Democratic Party PDP has saluted the workers for their service to the stability and development of the country.

The PDP in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, however, made it known that the new N30, 000 minimum wage recently approved by President Muhammadu Buhari should not be a justification for any form of bullying or victimization of workers.
