Breaking Transfer News – Pulisic Chelsea swap announced on Instagram

Christian Pulisic is one of the most sought-after footballers in the world and with the 20 year old nearing the end of his current deal with Borussia Dortmund, speculations are rife that he is headed to Chelsea Football Club of England.

To add fuel to the fire and amidst all the speculations, a former coach of Christian Pulisic, and former US international, took to Instagram to “congratulate” Pulisic ahead of his “reported” move to Chelsea.

It has been widely reported that Chelsea have been monitoring the availability of the US international with a view to making a move when the transfer window opens next month.

In addition to bolstering Chelsea’s current attacking options, the Blues have also earmarked Pulisic as a possible replacement for Eden Hazard should he one day leave Stamford Bridge.

Borussia Dortmund are currently top of the Bundesliga and are not in a hurry to sell but it is reported that they could ask for up to £70million for the 20-year-old, though the club’s sporting director Michael Zorc insisted in November that the player would not be sold in January.

But, with Pulisic yet to sign fresh terms with the Bundesliga side, speculation has intensified as the January window draws near.

Eddie Johnson, who is a former Fulham striker and who also coached Pulisic following his retirement in 2015, appeared to ‘announce’ the deal in a post on his official Instagram account.

Although the picture has now been taken down, Johnson posted an image of Pulisic mocked-up in half-and-half Chelsea and Dortmund kit with the message:

“@cmpulisic so stoked for you lil bro great move can’t wait to watch you alongside @hazardeden_10.”

It is not known if Johnson knows a thing or two, but if the speculations are correct, it means that a deap is close to being agreed for Pulisic to move to Chelsea if not akready completed.

Addition of the winger to Chelsea’s ranks will be a huge blow to premier league rivals as he emerged second best U-21 player in world football in the most recent announcements.
