BREAKING: Yahaya Bello Emerges Kogi APC Governorship Candidate
- Bello will be going into a major election for the first time.
Governor Yahaya Bello will contest for election for the number one seat of the state after emerging winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary.
The election will hold in November 16, 2019. This will happen simultaneously with the Bayelsa governorship election.
It was gathered that 3,596 delegates were accredited in the primary which held in Lokoja, the state capital.
Bello who is having a contest as he was not the candidate of the APC in 2015 secured 3, 127 votes.
The aspirants who contested against Bello are Hadiza Ibrahim, Yahaya Audu, Danlami Mohammed, Yakubu Mohammed, Sani Abdullahi and Babatunde Irukera.
