Brighton vs Liverpool-EPL January 12 Preview and Scores

Liverpool have just crashed out of the FA Cup leaving them with only the Champions League and the Premier league. The challengers as dubbed by fans would be ready to decimate and annihilate anyone on their way to claiming the premier league title. Brighton, on the hand would be willing to climb further away from the relegation zone.

Brighton and Hove Albion

The Seagulls sit comfortably in 13th place on the log with only 8 points adrift bottom three. In contrast with Liverpool, they won their FA cup meeting against Bournemouth and are through to the 3rd round of the competition. They however are the weaker side coming into this fixture, at least, that’s what bookmakers think.

However, they should be given an air of respect as they are undefeated in their last four matches in all competitions. Even so, their league records do not boast good stats. Their best run of form was a dramatic and enthralling win against Everton and convincing draw against Arsenal.

Three points in the bag for them would be a huge confidence boost.

Liverpool

Chief of all news is that the Reds have just crashed out of the FA Cup. Equally important is that they have lost another Centre-back to injury in Dejan Lovren. Nevertheless, they have lost just one match this season, one against the defending champions.

Calling a spade a spade, Liverpool have lost their last two matches. However, they had fielded a young team in their crash against Wolves in the FA CUP. They wouldn’t be experimenting any changes in their starting line-up this time.

They will be looking to avoid any slip-ups in this one as they edge closer to winning the league.

Dejan Lovren is absent for the Reds, so also is Adama Lallana as the injury list keeps growing.
