Bruno Fernandes Is Officially A Red Devil

Manchester United have officially announced the signing of Portuguese midfielder, Bruno Fernandes after the attack-minded midfielder penned down a five-and-a-half year contract with an option of a further year.

The former Sporting Lisbon player has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford, but the deal was only sealed today after passing his medicals.

According to Sporting CP, the Portuguese player will go for an initial cost of £46.5million while a payable £21million might later accrue in add-ons.

These add-ons include player individual prize bonuses, participation bonuses, as well as, a £4.2million fee dependent on the performance of the Red devils in the Champions League.

Bruno Fernandes has notched an incredible eight goals and seven assists in only 17 league appearances for the Portuguese  giants this term prior to his move to Old Trafford.

In total, he has contributed a gargantuan 63 goals and 52 assists in only 137 appearances for the Portuguese outfit. He was also instrumental to the success of Portugal in their UEFA Nations League campaign.

Bruno Fernandes who was excited about the deal said:

For me to now play for Manchester United feels incredible, I have worked hard to get to this moment and I can promise the fans that I will give everything for the badge to help bring us more success and trophies. I want to thank Sporting for everything they have done for me. It is surreal to hear the nice words that have been said about me from players that used to play for this team. A massive thank you to Ole and everyone at Manchester United for the trust they have shown in me and I can’t wait to start to repay that on the pitch.”
