Harry Maguire has also put up a good showing for United in the past month as the Red devils picked up seven points from a possible nine with three clean sheets.

Evidently, Portuguese midfielder has shown promises and a sign of good things to come in the red half of Manchester as the midfield maestro continues to pull the strings.

So great has the club improved since the coming of the Portuguese that Scott McTominay confessed to it being the motivation behind his return ahead of schedule.

Fernandes also helped Manchester United to a home win over their close neighbours, Manchester City. The 26-year-old played Anthony Martial through on goal with a cheeky freekick before the France International sent a swirling ball the way of Ederson. The ball slipped under the Brazilian’s arms and into the net.

Scott McTominay then doubled United’s lead at the death of the game after Ederson mistrued a pass to Fernandinho. McTominay latched on to the ball and sent a shot into the empty net.
