Buhari Meets CCB Deadline, Obtains Assets Declaration Form
President Muhammadu Buhari has obtained his assets declaration form from the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
This was revealed via Twitter by Bashir Ahmad, the personal assistant to the president on social media and digital engagement on Monday shortly after the 2019 budget was signed.
The form was delivered to President Buhari at the State House by the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Prof Muhammad Isa.
According to the 1999 constitution, public officials are to declare their assets before beginning their tenure in their respective offices.
iDONSABI reported that the CCB had given Buhari and the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo deadline of May 28 to submit their forms ahead of their inauguration on Wednesday.
According to Bashir, after receiving the assets declaration form from Code of Conduct Bureau, President Buhari promised to fill and submit it without much delay.
